A waymarking initiative along Guernsey’s south coast is helping walkers and visitors explore the island’s spectacular cliff paths with greater confidence, thanks in part to funding from the 2026 Saffery Rotary Walk.
The Guernsey Cliffline is a project run by the Health Improvement Commission for Guernsey and Alderney, designed to make the cliff paths easier to navigate and help people plan their walks.
Pictured above are Lucy Radford (Saffery Trust), Rotarian Dave Parish (Saffery Rotary Walk Team) and Sam Green (Health Improvement Commission) at the new Guernsey Cliffline signpost at Jerbourg.
The full route stretches from the Bathing Pools to Pleinmont and is divided into six sections. Waymarking has now been installed from the Bathing Pools to Icart, with small numbered posts at key junctions helping walkers follow the coastal paths.
The Health Improvement Commission was one of 16 charities supported by the 2026 Saffery Rotary Walk. The Walk’s contribution has helped make the Guernsey Cliffline project possible, alongside support from CMC Wellbeing and Visit Guernsey.

The project is another example of how funds raised through the Saffery Rotary Walk are making a lasting difference in the Bailiwick, encouraging physical activity, supporting wellbeing and helping more people enjoy Guernsey’s beautiful natural environment.
The next Saffery Rotary Walk takes place on Saturday 12 June 2027.
