Local charities and non-profit organisations are invited to apply for funding from the 2027 Saffery Rotary Walk.
Applications are open until Monday 30 November 2026.
The Walk, which takes place on Saturday 12 June 2027, raises funds for projects that make a real difference to people across the Bailiwick.
More than 1,000 walkers took part in the 2026 event, raising over £100,000 for local causes. Sixteen charities and non-profit organisations received funding for projects ranging from specialist equipment and family support to improvements in accessibility.
What kind of projects can be supported?
Applications are welcomed from charities and non-profit organisations registered on the Guernsey Charities Register whose work benefits the local community.
Funding is available for specific, clearly identifiable projects that are achievable and have measurable outcomes, rather than general running costs.
Jannine Birtwistle, the Walk’s Charity Coordinator, said: “We are not looking for the biggest names or the slickest forms. We are looking for a clear project, something we can point to afterwards and say that the Walk helped make that happen. Every single application we receive is carefully considered.”
Thanks to the generous support of Saffery Trust and the Walk’s other sponsors, the costs of organising the event are covered, meaning every penny raised by walkers is available for distribution to local causes.
Lisa Vizia, Director at Saffery Trust, said: “If your organisation has a project that has been waiting for funding, this is the time to put it forward.”

Online applications are preferred, but a paper application form can also be downloaded from the website or collected from Saffery Trust’s offices at La Tonnelle House, Les Banques.
